How deletion works, in detail

Everything below applies whether you submit the form above or email us directly.

How to request deletion

  • Fill out the form above with your account email and reason for leaving, or email support@smstream.io from your registered address with the subject "Delete my account."
  • Confirm you understand the action is permanent and that any remaining balance will be forfeited.
  • Submit your request. We verify it's coming from the account owner before any data is removed.

What data is deleted

  • Account profile — name, email address, and login credentials
  • All virtual phone numbers assigned to your account
  • SMS message content and history received through those numbers
  • Saved payment method tokens
  • In-app activity and usage logs tied to your identity

What data is retained

  • Billing and transaction records, to meet tax and financial reporting obligationsRetained up to 7 years
  • Records tied to fraud, abuse, or Terms of Service violations, kept for security purposesRetained up to 90 days
  • Aggregated, de-identified usage data that can no longer be linked to youMay be retained indefinitely

How long it takes
